Oxygen and the
Red Cross/Red CrescentThroughout its history, Oxygen Electronics has sought to partner and support an organization that participates on a local and global plane much as Oxygen does. This desire became a reality during the recent Tsunami disaster when Oxygen partnered with the local branch of the Red Cross to bring into play the wide reach of Oxygen's presence in the electronics industry worldwide to assist in spreading the message and motivating the industry to donate in support of the victims in addition to directly funding the relief effort.
Our association with the local chapter has propelled us into an ongoing partnership with both the Red Cross and The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies.
The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is the world's largest humanitarian organization, providing assistance without discrimination as to nationality, race, religious beliefs, class or political opinions. This assistance comes in the form of promoting humanitarian principles and values; disaster response; disaster preparedness; and health and care in the community all in an attempt to find solutions and utilize the "power of humanity" to positively influence the behavior of people.
In the face of an unrelenting need for worldwide assistance, Oxygen Electronics will continue to donate to the Red Cross for every purchase order received. In our efforts to globally raise awareness for the Red Cross and the IFRC, Oxygen will use its reach on the Oxygen Electronics and Brokerlynx Web sites to keep these organizations in the forefront of the industry as well as offer a direct link to these organizations for information and donations.
Survival for so many depends on the quality of relationships established not only with governments but with industry and individuals as well.
